The greater mummy appeared in second edition for the Ravenloft setting in the ''Monstrous Compendium Ravenloft Appendix'' (1991), and reprinted in the ''Monstrous Manual'' (1993).〔Stewart, Doug, ed. ''Monstrous Manual'' (TSR, 1993)〕 The unique greater mummy Senmet appeared in the ''Monstrous Compendium Ravenloft Appendix II: Children of the Night'' (1993). The greater mummy, including Senmet, appeared in the ''Ravenloft Monstrous Compendium Appendices I & II'' compilation (1996).
The greater mummy appeared in the third edition ''Deities and Demigods'' (2002).〔Redman, Rich, Skip Williams, and James Wyatt. ''Deities and Demigods'' (Wizards of the Coast, 2002)〕
